RGN Load Board

FR8Star’s RGN Load Board offers powerful tooling, leads, and agency support.

RGN Transport Uses

Removable gooseneck (RGN) trailers are similar to standard lowboys, but you can separate the main deck from the gooseneck to create a ramp, making it easier to load equipment with tracks or wheels. Like lowboys, this type of trailer is well suited for handling taller and longer loads that wouldn’t fit inside a dry van or on top of a flatbed without exceeding the state and Federal height limits. However, because of the removable gooseneck, RGN trailers are also an excellent choice for oversize and overweight loads. In fact, some RGN trailers have 16 or more axles and can carry loads well over 200,000 pounds.

As with lowboys, it’s important to accurately measure and weigh your load, whether it be a bulldozer or a large tractor. Accurate dimensions ensure that the load is legal, and if it isn’t, then you’ll know to get the proper permits and arrange for an escort, if necessary, ahead of time.
